The Craving
What's the character breakdown?
1 man and 1 woman
How long is it?
It's a one-act play, 10 pages long. It plays at 10 minutes.
Has it been produced?
Yes, a bunch of times. It was first produced as part of the Source Festival in Washington, D.C. in June 2009. The Queens Players produced it in Queens in January 2010. Wind Up Productions performed it as a part of “Unbalancing Acts” in July 2010. Rising Sun Performance Company produced it in NYC in July 2011. I even directed it as part of the 2010 15 Minute Play Festival in NYC.
What's it about?
Melanie and Judd have been using fake fights to turn themselves on, but tonight it's started a real fight, one about needs, both physical and emotional, that might never be fulfilled. What was once just a way to rev up their engines has turned into a darker discussion about their cravings and lines they never thought they’d cross.
Can I read a sample?
It's a ten-minute play, so, a sample ... Well, if you're really nice you can email me for a script here.
Any pictures of past productions?
Sure. Right below here.
Has it been published?
Not yet, but I'll always entertain offers.
